Rail handling trains
Aveng Manufacturing Lennings Rail Services operate a Rail Handling Train capable of loading up to 240m rails fromboth sides of the track in in one pass. The loading wagons have a capacity to load thirty 240m rails per load. Rails can be loaded in the section or from stacks next to the track.
Off-loading of rails up to 240m lengths are possible in the section.
The train consists of a rail pewing wagon and one rail treading wagon with 14 rail loading wagons moved bylocomotive. A movable rail handling unit that runs on side rails on the wagons are used during the loading of the rails.
A safety monitoring system is provided to ensure the safe transporting of rails over long distances.
